Castillo Alaró & Es Verger

The old Castle Alaró and the mountain restaurant Es Verger are certainly among our most favorite destinations in Majorca!

A road from the village of Alaró leads you up the mountain to the parking lot of the restaurant Es Verger.
From there, with good walking shoes and enough water in your backpack, it's a 1 hour walk on a well-marked path to the old Castell Alaró.

Although the view from Es Verger is already beautiful, from the castle it is simply stunning!
Rest a little bit before you go back to the restaurant.

The Es Verger is famous for its excellent lamb shanks, as well as the Majorcan bread soup, both highly recommended!
Interesting and a popular photo opportunity is the old wood-burning stone oven in which the food still is cooked today!

Enjoy once more the views, before setting off for home.
